That’s an interesting snare angle for worship! What do you think?
Either way, Simon Kobler is a fantastic drummer and in the end, you have to be confortable with your setup. It’s gotta feel just right for YOU!

That’s a great way to set it up, especially for how low it is.
Buddy Rich tilted forward. Keith Carlock does too. They’re both traditional grip guys. Interesting Kobler is doing it matched grip.
I’m mostly matched grip. And, moving from snare to rack tom feels weird to me when I’ve tried tilting forward. Slightly back for me.
I used to play set up like that when I was in a metal band. Snare tilted front and matched grip. It lets you keep the snare sitting lower and still allows the possibility of rimshots without hitting your legs. … also in the metal world it made ‘gravity blasts’ easier, but I don’t know anyone who would do those in worship ;P haha

Hi! I'm Jon Manna - a regular guy who loves drums and Jesus. I started this blog so that it can grow to become a great resource to church drummers like you and me.
